The following charges apply for the quality control certificates issued by us. Specific tests can also be carried out and documented for each individual spring upon the customer's request. Standard springs are inspected for compliance to the stated tolerances. All procedures are explained in our Quality Handbook, which we are happy to send to you if required. Every article tested recieves a test mark, which is recorded in the quality record book. The procedure normally consists of a simple spot check program, test-level AQL = 1.0. The test for those springs destined for sale is carried out according to the DIN ISO 2859-1 inspection level II. This is carried out in our quality control department independent from the production process. Quality controlĪll springs in our sales warehouse are quality controlled. Springs made of material EN 1.4310 will not be re-coated after production, as a surface protection is not normally required. Normally the endless compression springs are made of spring-steel EN 10270-2-DH and -SH will be ligthly oiled after production. The possible deflection can be determined by dividing the maximum load by the spring rate. For springs with a different number of coils R1 should be divided by the number of active coils in order to obtain the correct spring rate. These values are for a spring in a relaxed, horizontal position, and can therefore be used to calculate the values for other springs. The stated values for the deflection (sn1) and the spring rate (R1) are the theoretical values for a spring of the particular size which has 1 active coil only. The maximum indicated load (Fn) is the load which each particular spring of this size can withstand, regardless of the number of coils. We will undertake a thermal coating with pleasure whenever requested. Thermal coating / 30 minutes at 300° C / air-cooled. The endless compression springs should ultimately be thermally treated in order to obtain fully operational compression springs from them. This allows a slight bending of the end coils.
